Da qualche foto apparsa e da qualche accenno qua e là su instagram, ormai si è capito che mi sono trasferita a Playa del Carmen in Messico per qualche mese….
Una mia amica, che risiede qui già da tempo, mi ha chiesto aiuto per gestire uno dei suoi B&B. Le motivazioni per partire erano più di quelle per restare in Italia !
Come è scritto nella breve presentazione di me e Francesca, io sono quella sempre con la valigia in mano, curiosa del mondo (anche se è la prima volta che vengo in questa zona, solitamente preferisco l’ Oriente) e vorrei terminare questa vita avendo visto ogni centimetro quadrato della Terra. Lo so che non sarà possibile ma continuerò nella prossima vita…..
Qui non sono stata accolta benissimo, una settimana di piogge incessanti, umidità al 1000%, scarafaggi giganti ovunque, zanzare invisibili e silenziose che mi hanno punto ovunque e primi clienti che sono rientrati ubriachi alle 5 di mattina svegliando tutto il circondario !
Ovviamente la mia curiosità è anche riguardante il cibo; ancora non ho trovato il classico mercato, forse perchè mi trovo nella parte più centrale e turistica di Playa, ma anche al supermercato sono stata affascinata da mille verdure mai viste o sentito nominare, dalla varietà di peperoni e soprattutto peperoncini (quali saranno i più piccanti ?)
In mezzo a tali meraviglie ecco spuntare l’ORRORE…spaghetti con condimento già incorporato. Davvero non si possono guardare, qui urge far conoscere la vera cucina italiana ai messicani, io di sicuro non li compro !
Va bè, facciamocene una ragione e andiamo avanti. Pian piano sono certa (o almeno lo spero !) che le cose miglioreranno.

One of my friends, who has been living here for some time, asked for help to manage one of her B & Bs. The motivations to leave were more than those to stay in Italy!
As it is written in the brief presentation of me and Francesca, I am always with the suitcase in my hand, curious of the whole world (although it is the first time I come to this area, I usually prefer the East) and I would like to end this life having seen every square centimeter of the Earth. I know it will not be possible but I will continue in the next life …..
Here I was not very well received, a week of incessant rains, 1000% humidity, giant cockroaches everywhere, invisible and silent mosquitoes that I got anywhere and first customers who came back drunk at 5 am waking the whole neighborhood!
Of course my curiosity is also about food; I still have not found the classic market, maybe because I’m in the most central and touristic part of Playa, but also in the supermarket I was fascinated by a thousand vegetables never seen or heard of, from the variety of peppers and especially chillies (which will be the most spicy ?)
In the midst of such wonders, here is the HORROR … spaghetti with already seasoned dressing. Really can’t be seen, here it is urging to teach the true Italian cuisine to the Mexicans, I certainly do not buy them!
Well, let’s make up my mind and go on. Soon I’m sure (or I hope so!) that things will improve…
